Cycling is one of Italy’s greatest sporting passions and we are ideally situated at Numero 182 to provide you with plenty of cycling opportunities. Indeed, even British professional cyclist Mark Cavendish has a training base in the area. From our position in the foothills of the mountains you can either turn right out of our driveway and head north for the climbs that the British Olympic Cycling team recently used as their training ground, or turn left and head south to slightly flatter terrain towards Lucca or the beautiful hilltop town of Montecarlo, an undiscovered gem that is on the Bio Giro cycle circuit and has a couple of bars and two excellent restaurants you can refuel in. We are keen cyclists, and will be more than happy to help you with your cycling requirements during your stay including: Bike hire service (either from us or a local store) Airport transfer service (with or without your own bike) Route planning and ride itinerary service (tailored to you) GPS rental (Garmin edge complete with pre-loaded routes) Guided cycle routes (we can take you on some of our favourite routes) Ride support services (should you want dropping off and collecting so that you can cycle a linear route somewhere further afield) Breakdown service (if you want peace of mind should you have a mechanical failure while out riding) Spares shop (we keep a stock of inner tubes for all common wheel types and basic spares) Repairs (we have a work stand, track pump, wheel truing tool and a substantial tool kit for general maintenance or making repairs to your bike during your stay) We can offer you as much or as little help as you wish for your trip so that you can either find your own path and explore at your own pace or get out there on the road with nothing more to think about than your cycling.
