Situated in northern Tuscany, not too far from the beaten track and in the foothills of the Apennine mountains lies the beautiful, yet quiet Svizzeria Pesciatina (Pescia’s Switzerland). Our traditional stonebuilt farmhouse sits amongst its own 12 acres of woodland in a commanding position overlooking the village of Pietrabuona, where fierce battles were played out between Florence and Pisa during the middle ages. Our farmhouse was fully restored in 2007 and now has a self-contained apartment on the ground level with living/dining room, bedroom and shower room. A west-facing patio in front of the apartment affords wonderful views across the valley to the village of Pietrabuona as well as some spectacular sunsets - a perfect spot to escape to and relax in after a busy day’s sightseeing in nearby Florence, Lucca, Pisa or one of the many hilltop towns, or an energetic day’s cycling, hiking or even skiing. We are situated just north of the village of Pietrabuona and only 3 miles north of the medieval town of Pescia - a fully functioning Italian town famous for its cut flower production and paper mills, which offers supermarkets, bars, pizzerias, restaurants, coffee shops, banks and a train station - meaning you need not go far for the essentials. So come and immerse yourself in everything Tuscany has to offer at Numero 182.
